Almost done! The butterfly represents my turning 65 in April. It's called "Free to be Me". Working on this project this year has shown me more of who I really am. I think this is a good thing. LOL.
The May page is just called "May Flowers". I have to finish my September page and I will be done for this year. I am already looking forward to BJP 2008. Many ideas buzzing around in my head already. Too many projects to finish between now and then though. It seems like I can't stop signing up for each new thing that comes along. Oh well. That's me all over. At least I now have the time to work on them as much as I want to.

That butterfly in particular is beautiful. I wish I was better at bead embroidery. Happy 65th!
Thank you Summer. It was fun to do. My girlfriend saw it and now I'm making barrettes for her wedding.
Being 65 is not all bad.

Yum, orange! My fav color this year :) The butterfly is a good pick to reflect your freedom at any age. The May flowers is nice, simple and reflective of the colors I've been seeing in many gardens and landscapes this spring. Love your work!
Y*E*S!!!! Free to be you, no more 9-5, sign up for all the projects you want, you lovely butterfly woman!!!!
Happy 65th Birthday. I hope your year brings you joy and many wishes come true.

I think the key to doing lots of challenges, trades, etc. is to have fun with each one and drop the expectations...(I'm practicing that myself which is why I mention it...)
Your butterfly is so vibrant and exciting!!! It looks great! I am amazed by how beautiful the whole project looks together - what a gift to ourselves and you have made a wonderful job of it all! Isn't it exciting? I wonder if vibrant and exciting are good adjectives for retirement - I think so don't you?
Cheers, Denise
I love your pages, Arline! Happy, happy birthday to you -- 65 is just the beginning for so much more to come . . .

Nice pieces. I like beading on fabric better than making jewelry too-a place to put the joins.
Happy birthday, Arline! And congratulations on your freedom. (I'm counting down the--way too many--years, myself.) Your pieces are beautiful--they have such vibrancy and life. Beautiful work!

Both are beautiful. Butterflies are such potent symbols of change. Your flower page is simple and pretty. It looks like flowers in a meadow of green grass.
Hope your birthday was happy and hope the whole year will be.
I can't seem to quit signing up for stuff either. I don't think I played so much as a kid as I do now!!
