May BJP Page

This is my May BJP page. It's called "Friends". I found these wonderful gemstone faces online and knew I had to do something with them. They represent my beady friends who have become my family. I have been trying to add more texture to my pages this year. Small keishi pearls and gemstone chips have added a new dimension I think. I can't believe we are so close to the end of the year. I still have three pages to do, but expect to be done soon. I had to get some "real life" things out of my way so I could concentrate on my pages.
This cuff was inspired by the beautiful cabs I bought recently in San Mateo. I love turquoise and copper together. I enjoy making cuffs so much I am toying with the idea of doing them for BJP next year. Kelly's beautiful cuffs have made me want more of them.

Goodness! I didn't even know one could get carved gem stone face cabs... They're wonderful! It's awesome the way you are showing the web, the connections between your beading friends! I also love your bracelet... turquoise and copper are luscious together! Congrats on finishing 9!!!

Lovely on both counts Arline, if you get sick of that bracelet you can send it my way - it would look great on my arm ;)

I love your page. What a great way to honor your friends! The cuff is a really good idea for next year. That must mean you've decided to do it again already! I haven't decided for sure yet. I want to but I seem to be having so much trouble getting my beading done this year it makes me hesitate - but then, I don't want to give it up either!

Arline, I love your Friends piece! All the faces, encircled with beads and interconnected with each other -- just lovely. The keishi pearls and gemstones chips ARE an excellent addition.

And the turquoise cuff is beautiful as well. Great assortment of beads, stones, pearls creating wonderful textures. Yummy! - Kathy

Arline, this cuff is "SICK!" (That's "amazing" in today's lingo) You keep on surprising me. You'd better glue that thing to your wrist if you know what's good for you. lol!
