August Update

I am having too much fun with this. I'm sure it must be illegal, immoral or fattening. With my luck it's all three. LOL. As you can see I made some progress this weekend. Took my oldest grandson to the coast and we kicked back, relaxed and had fun with each other. He's 17 and very artistic himself. He's even been known to bead a few things and worked in our LBS last summer. Haven't found the right name for this page yet. At least it's still speaking to me.

No ideas for a name but I had to tell you that it is gorgeous. It looks like you were beading next to the ocean. The square pearls give it just the right amount of tension.

I think it looks like a wild woman dancing at the oceans edge. I'd call it Dancing' Queen. It's dang joyous to me. :-)

Thank you for the great laugh about it must be illegal, immoral, or fattening! I don't usually name my pieces at all, but maybe I'll have to for this project.

I really like this alot! You can tell you did it at the coast! It looks like a path to the resting spot in the upper middle...like a rock surrounded by waves coming in. It's just really nice!!!

How about Trip to the Coast? Or something to do with coast.

Forgot to add, great start. And I did think of the coast when I looked at it.

Well, call me loopey, but I see it viewed upside down, as a partial image of a seabird in flight (the square pearls ? the markings on the underside of the wings, the cabachon ? as the body, and the swirling gold beads edged with black (which would be at the bottom, if turned upside down) have movement like fog, or even wave foam in the background...that sorta thing.

Regardless of what you call it, it's BEAUTIFUL!!

The black line down the middle looks like the coast edge with ocean to the left and CA to the right. How bout California Dreams?

Glad you got to enjoy both the coast and your grandson. Aren't they special?

I agree with the others, I see the coast. I think it is awesome, love the colors. You keep looking at it and ask it, it will tell you its name.
Mine always do,

AUGUST?!?! Hey, you're skipping ahead! :-)

It's lovely. I love all those blues. So calming. What size is your piece? I keep forgetting to say what size mine is.

Pearl, My pages are about 4x6 inches. My June and July pages are done and I can't seem to stop beading. LOL. I'll slow down eventually.

Great so far, looks like some kind of ocean break to me. The foam before it hit land.

Arline, at first it looked like an outline of Florida with all it's wonderful beaches. Now with more work on it, it looks like a jeweled unicorn hoof :o)-fun! Lillian

It looks like a coast to me too. It's that marvelous line of pearls! Beautiful, just beautiful!

It is very lovely - it reminds me of tidal pools.

It's easy to see the ocean is in this page. I love all the different beads and what you have done with them.

I'm so glad that beads aren't fattening. I would be wider than I am tall if it were!!

My beaders butt is too big as it is!!

I can totally see the ocean in this piece and the movement I must admit is very exciting! The colors are simply gorgeous...
