A friend of mine recently asked me for something to cover a hole in her favorite jacket, so I beaded a patch. Then I decided the jacket would look funny with one small patch, so I beaded three more. Someone asked me how she would be able to wash her denim jacket with all that beading attached. Hmmmm... Then I remembered a glue I had used for sequined patches several years ago at Christmas time. It's Allene's Tack It Over and Over. I'm going to put it on the patches tonight so it will have time to cure. Then we'll try it tomorrow. I'll let you all know how it works. The patch to your left is a pin that I made this morning. I have several patterns (shapes) I'm going to make into pins and pendants. What do you think? This is a new idea for me. A year ago I wouldn't have attempted it. Doing the BJP this year has given me the confidence to not only try new things, but to put them out there for the world to see.

nnI think these are simply wonderful. What color is her jacket? And, do you think the Alene's will work with these? I think it will, but please update with washing results! Good job!
When you get ready to wash the garment, you just peel off the patch and place it on waxed paper until you want to use it again. I used to use it to put holiday patches on my shirts so I didn't have to buy special holiday clothes.
Her jacket is light blue denim.
Thanks for the comments.

Very cool Arline & a very interesting tip about this over & over glue
I like those patches a lot, Arline. Sometimes to remember when my favorite denim jacket starts wearing out....
Very calm and appealing pieces. Soothing. I like them!
Amazing at what one learns when they take the time to visit a good friend's blog! I will have to look for that particular glue -- it seems I have every darn Alene glue but that one.
Terrific idea, Arline!

I think they're great! if the glue works well, can you imagine the possibilities!
I always wondered why anyone would want to "Tack It Over & Over." Now I know!

Lucky friend and a clever solution on your part. Thanks for visiting my blog too.
Thank you so much for the sweet pin made like these patches! It is sooo pretty. When I get a break from my busy-ness, I am gonna post a pick on my blog!
