Bountiful Harvest

Well, today is the end of one of the most challenging years I have ever had. I finished my September page a couple of days ago. It was the last of twelve pages that I have worried about, prayed about, and worked my fingers (old though they may be) to the bone for. Actually, that is at least a partial untruth. This year has been heart wrenching at times, but I wouldn't have traded it for any amount of money. I feel like I have learned so much about beading, and more importantly, about myself. It has been a voyage of discovery indeed. The joy I have received from sharing such an experience with my fellow beaders and artists is unmeasureable. To thank Robin for starting this project somehow does not seem enough. If you multiply all my questions to her by 200+, it's a wonder she even had time to bead or write her book. The friendships formed during this year, I hope, will continue for a long time. I know I have become hopelessly addicted to reading blogs and will continue to do so. Thank all of your for sharing your knowledge with me.

What a wonderful harvest you had in September! So many different varieties of grapes! PERFECT! I am in awe! Congratulations for just doing something new when the original didn't work for you!

Reading your post tonight, Arline, makes me glow with contentment... it's so exactly, right smack-dab on the mark, what I hoped would happen with the BJP! Did you read Acey's similar thoughts? Just what you and she have posted are more than thanks enough for my efforts in starting and running the project. It's been a blessing for me too, as has getting to know you and being inspired by your journey.

Maybe there was a reason to wait to do Sept...it is so peaceful and just evokes the harvest.

I love the way those grapes are made and the color scheme for the page. I completely relate to what you expressed about your BJP experience. This has been a unique personal challenge with beautiful results that, hopefully, will never leave our creative spirit and what we do with it.

Arline, What a beautiful page, and what wonderful thoughts. I know that your support has encouraged me to keep working on the BJP, as well. Your art is inspiring and your spirit is a blessing.

What a beautiful page Arline! I fell way behind on my BJP pages and not sure I'll ever catch up.. lol I won't give up on trying tho!

Thanks for dropping by, our button looks darn good on your blog here. October will be one HOT month that's for sure.

BTW, my email is not cooperating, so if you didn't get my last note to you.. I apologize. Quick note, we have to callit a "drawing" opposed to "raffle" though per the wishes of Susan G. Komen's office and abiding by laws (raffle is considered gambling). Ay yi yi, I know.. but if you could just change the small detail that'd be great!

Love your art donation! Thank you so much for helping to make our project such a huge success. You're th ebest! ~Monica :)
