New Pin/Pendants

Beaded my little fingers off yesterday! Really made some productive use of my time for a change. These pin/pendants were made primarily for a challenge/swap on BeadDreamz on Yahoo. I love the flexibility of doing these. They are small enough to wear as a pin, but large enough to wear as a pendant. I put a finding on the back which will allow both. Like most of my bead embroidery, I never know exactly what it will look like when I'm finished with it. The top picture is called Desert Sun and the bottom one is called Earth. Not sure what the stone is on that one, but it reminded me of the earth from space, thus the name.

Plans are ongoing for my trip to the coast next week. We are staying for two nights so should have lots of beading time.
The weather should be in the 60's; nice and crisp. Great walking weather. We plan to hit the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach for a walk. I may even get some pictures taken this trip. I'm taking several projects with me and I will be teaching my friend, Heidi, how to do bead embroidery. Should be lots of fun.

The first week in November is the BABE show(BayAreaBeadExtravaganza) in Oakland. I'm spending five days up there this year. Taking classes, shopping, visiting with friends, making new ones and just generally having a good time. Can't wait!

Both are beautiful Arline! Where will you be on the coast? I'm on vacation next week too, I'm going to Oregon for a week - I can hardly wait!

Have fun on your trip.

These are so very lovely -- I would be proud to wear either -- now if I only had entered the challenge :-(

You sure have been busy beading -- and such lovely pieces -- your muse must have come back and brought her twin sister with her :-)

Arline:
I love your work so much. These two pieces are no exception but I have to tell you the cab face you did for the swap was to die for. Someday I hope to achieve your level of skill and creativity.

They're both very pretty! Could the second cab be ocean jasper maybe?

By the way, I tagged you in my blog!

I suspect you are right, AJ. I just haven't been able to confirm it.
Thanks for the tag.

Sorry Arline, but I've tagged you, too. I'm sure you can get away with only revealing 7 things about yourself. :-)

These are both beautiful. You are right, the second one does look like earth from outer space. Two peopl are going to be very happy with the trade they make!

Have a wonderful time at BABE! I'd love to do something like that. Someday, someday!
