September Finished

Finally finished my September BJP page. Not much beading here, I know, but that's how September was for me. I had almost totally lost my muse. This page will be officially called "Lost Muse". Fortunately, I seem to have found her again. I think I was falling into bad habits. When you have all day to work on things, it's too easy to say "I'll do it later". After a while, that nasty little habit snowballed and I found myself either reading or playing on the computer. All day, every day. Not a good thing when you want to accomplish things.

Now, I do most of my computer work in the early mornings and won't let myself pick up a book until after 4 pm. At least this way, I get some beading done everyday. Still haven't figured out how to get myself to do house****. LOL

Took two
marvelous classes from Liz Smith this past weekend. Her enthusiasm and energy was definitely contagious. We did her Twist and Swirl class on Saturday and her No Calorie Donut on Sunday. Both classes were fun and kept your interest throughout. Those are two projects which will be finished ASAP.

Its very peaceful and minimal, but lovely none the less! As they say, you only have to have 1 bead on your page to call it a part of the BJP! Heres to your muse coming back! tracey

Hi Arline...I finally am making rounds today to visit other BJP members!

I like the color and simplicity of your September page...it is lovely. I don't think they need to be encrusted to be beautiful. I'm glad you found your muse...mine takes off every now and then too! ;-) And, I totally understand 'I'll do it later'...(smiling)! The computer is the worst for me!

Love your Swirling Leaves and Grape Day dolls too! I look forward to seeing your October page!

Hi Arline, I like it even though you lost your muse. I can really relate to it as well. My March page from last year was similar as I was going through much of what you describe.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your classes, they sound wonderful!

It's really beautiful, Arline. I think a lot of us are going through similar feelings at this time -- far too many distractions going on in the world.

Besides, we all need a "Lost Muse" page once in a while, right?

oh Arline - very very nice "Lost Muse"!!!! I have the same problem many times, time to do stuff - too easy to say I'll do it later! ESPECIALLY about housework! lol...
Love your page.

I think the page says it all. But then again, maybe it's crying because it has to do the housework! I like it - the page not the housework.

Good design doesn't require tons of beads and you've got that...and of course, the color is wonderful, lol!

Cleaning the house comes *way* after doing things that feed your spirit. I think it's a great page and the color is gorgeous.

Keep the muse alive!

Thank you all. I have already told my muse she gets no more vacations. Someone on one of my groups asked if maybe we wear them out and they retire, sending us a new one. Interesting thought....

Arline, The minimalist approach works perfectly for this one. I like it.

I really got a good chuckle reading Heidi's comment. Too funny, and yet maybe a grain of truth there. Sometimes I do my best work AFTER I finally settle down and give the dust bunnies the boot. Actually the other comments are good too... muses can be a tad slippery at times for all of us. Your piece shows that well. Hugs, Robin

This is really good. The face really is a good one for losing your muse and the teardrop look to the beads adds just the right soulful touch. I don't think this one could have been better with more. Sometimes less is best and this is one of those times. I am glad your muse is back. And boy, do I know what you mean about sitting in front of the computer all day - I keep telling myself I won't- starting tomorrow!

Arline, I think it takes GUTS to be minimalistic !
Personally, I am compelled to bead it ALL !
