BJP Pages

Better late, than never. I have become a behinder this year.
This first page is for November. It was inspired by the historic election that took place in November. I have always been proud to be an American, but never more so than now. To see our country rally and stand behind a man of vision, no matter the color of his skin was wondrous to behold. I'm not a particularly political person, but it did my heart good to see the USA step out of a dark part of our past, and embrace the future together.

The second page is for December. This has always been a month for reflection for me; looking back over the past year and learning from it. I have officially been retired for a year now. My life is good. I have a loving family, the best of friends and last, but not least, my beady family. What more could a person ask?

Now on to my January, February and March pages.

Oh I'm so happy that you did the election... and so aptly shown... red, white and blue never looked so good to me either! I love the mirror(s?) for December. Thinking of that month as one of reflections is something I'm going to add to my December attitude from now on. Thanks!!! Are all three circles mirrors or is it just the top one? As for your retirement, you'll settle into more productive spaces as you get used to a different life style. Hugs, Robin A.

All three are mirrors, Robin. Thank you and Brenda for your kind comments. I have kind of cycled this past year from spending every day at the LBS, to staying home everyday. These days I am pretty much splitting the difference. I'm volunteering at the shop three days a week and at home the rest of the time. Makes for a nice varied week.

I love the red white and blue for the election with the words that so capture this time in history. The use of mirrors in your next page show reflection and it's a time of joy and love of family. Great two pages - well worth the wait!

Great pages for a couple of difficult months...at least in my life they can be...and the mirrors are great metaphors.

What nice pages! I looked at the two of them together for quite a while, seeking out differences and similarities. It made me think about color, design, and what's behind our pages. :-)

I like your pages! Very fitting, both of them, for the "reflections" behind them..... can't wait to see what your busy life beads for the rest!

I like both pages, especially the December one with the mirrors.
Did you make the cabs for November?

Yes, Doris. I did make the cabs for the Nov. page. I used polymer clay. It works really well for these pages as it is light weight after baking. I'm glad you liked them.
