Just a Tease
Thought I would blog just a teaser of my January BJP page. I really like the 3x5 size I chose for this year. It's easier to hold in my hand to work on, and still gives me room to play with different ideas. My focus this year is on color. I want to climb out of my box a bit and try some new color combinations. In deference to the cold, windy weather much of the country is experiencing right now, I chose to start the year with white and silver. Hopefully, I will become a little more imaginative as the months go by. I am so pleased that two of my best friends from here are joining me in the adventure this year. I know it will make it even more fun.

Looks great so far Arline... my January piece will be white as well, probably a lot of people feeling 'white' right now!
I hear you, Grace. Fortunately I don't have to deal with snow. I'm liking the new size for this year.
I think that winter colors should be used in summer and summer colors in winter...than maybe we would have the illusion of warmth in winter and the feeling of a cold breeze in summer. Makes sense to me....lol
Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Hugs,
Jeanne
Thanks, Jeanne. Check Dot's blog for the addy of A Bead Story for bead embroidery. I'll bet she put it on Beaddreamz too.
Arline, thanks for the tease -- can't wait to see more. The bead mix I'm choosing for January is also more white, gray and black too! Just not feeling colorful at the moment.
I do usually agree with Jeanne, but my hands just are not picking out those warm colors right now.

Your work is always beautiful. Looking out my window, I would say you chose appropriate colors for January. All I see is white and ice!!

Arline, I love your piece. My January piece will have crystals on a turquoise background because I live where it is cold and it is really cold today. I'm new to the project and can't wait to get started. All I've done so far is plan and locate fabric. Gita
It's looking good...
