Winter Storm

Well, I finished it. These are not my favorite colors to work with, but our recent weather seemed to call for it. Makes me cold just looking at it. Brrrr! I promise the rest of my pages will be more cheerful. I already have ideas for next month, but I have a few special projects to do before I can start it.

We are doing inventory at our LBS where I volunteer. Not sure I would do it if it weren't beads. LOL. I remember when we moved the shop to its present location, about five years ago. Trust me, you don't ever want to do that. We only moved diagonally across an intersection. My fellow teachers threatened to put me in a shopping cart with my arms out to hold bead strands. The mental picture is hilarious! I told them they would have to get the fire department to use the jaws of life to get me out. Needless to say, we found another way.

OMG! . . . . . . . . . I'm speechless! Arline, it's stunning. The coin pearl clusters look like snowflakes. These may not be your favorite colors, but this is definitely one of my favorites of your work. Kudos!

And bravo for helping with inventory. Long before computers, I helped with car part inventory at a car repair shop. Not so much fun as bead inventory I'm sure, but lots of teeny, tiny pieces.

Arline...perfection...it looks like my yard with the snow falling, 10+ inches on the ground, and the lights from the houses glistening.

Congrats! Can't wait to see more.

I love it. I think its a perfection January interpretation, unless you live in So. Cal where my friend thinks 50 degrees is cold.

Beautiful beading, and it looks very chilly.

I think this is cheerful in spite of being silver and white. It reminds me of sparkling crystals and diamonds, doesn't get much more beautiful than that. It probably reflects color around it. Congratulations on a masterpiece!

Beautiful winter colors, Arline! It makes me think of pearly mornings in winter as the sky glows right before sunrise. It gives me such a calm, peaceful feeling.

Definitely conveys "chilly" but so beautifully. I can't wait to see what "cheerful" looks like. Moving bead inventory... what a big/little job---big job with so many little pieces. I'm still chuckling at the shopping cart image. :)

Oooo, very pretty! I don't particularly like to commemorate the cold and the snow either - brrr! But maybe it will be refreshing to look at in July or August when the heat and humidity get to be too much. :- )

Wow - that is stunning! Congrats on the finish.
