March BJP

Yes, I know it's not March yet, but I just had to do this one before I did the ones for December and January. These beads have been screaming at me for months now and I couldn't put them off any longer. I bought the Cherry Quartz several years ago at my first big (San Mateo) bead show. I went into overload and bought every thing in sight. LOL. Since coral is one of my favorite colors, I figured I would eventually find something to do with them. I started collecting things to go with them and found the perfect cabochon. From the beginning of BJP, this page was one of my goals. It went together fairly quickly, but just didn't fit December or January for me. So........March it is.

Just gorgeous! I love pink, so this is very appealing to me! It's funny how some months come together so quickly and others are slower.

That cherry quartz cab is awesome, Arline! I can see why you were so motivated to do this page.

Wow Arline... it's beautiful! So much texture, I love it.

I was so on top of my pages in December and have slipped a bit, just got started on January (a tough topic for me on this page) and have no idea what I will do for February. I'm feeling green for March - or maybe I just want to see something other than white snow :-) I'm having fun with it though and have had a blast watching the progress with the pages of others.

Isn't it neat when you finally use some beads you love but just haven't found a use for before? I think it turned out very nice.

Ooooooooh, I do love coral and pink beads... yummmmm! These beads and your cab would have been screaming at me too. Did you plan this piece, or is it spontaneous/improvisational? Is it about pretty colors and lovely beads? Or, is there meaning you'd be willing to share with us? Either way, it's fabulous!

Robin,
This one was strickly improv. I knew the elements I wanted to use, and I wanted a ruffle for some reason. Beyond that,I just put them where they told me to put them. LOL This was a very chatty bunch of beads!

Thank you all for your kind words.

What size are you making your BJP's?

Sue,
My pages are approximately 4x6 inches. It just seemed to be a workable size for me...big enough to tell a story, but not so big that I get overwhelmed.
