Winter Green - December page

Whoo Hoo! One more done. This is my December page called Winter Green. I found this Serephenite pendant and fell in love with the silvery green. Knew I had to do something with it. It was a very hard green to match though. I used some handmade paper for the backround, but I sure am glad I didn't have to handle it too much more. It really softens up fast. January page is started and on the way.
I finally feel as if I'm making some progress.

It's pretty. It makes me think of some form of sealife but I can't think what it is exactly. I wonder if you spritz the back side with water if it would stiffen up again-let those fiber seize back up.

I've wondered about using handmade paper under hand stitching. May have to try it myself someday...

Freebird hit the nail on the head. This does look like some kind of sea life. Or something from another planet! Very cool either way :- )

Wow, that stone is amazing. As is your beadwork and its wonderful organic flow.
